Switzerland is the most expensive country in Europe, and the picturesque city of Geneva is hailed as being very costly as a holiday destination.
However, as travel blogger Anastasia at Gallivant Girl proved; just because a place has a reputation for being expensive, it certainly doesn’t mean you should avoid it. And in fact, if you put your mind to it, you can still make your break a cheap one, without missing out on things to do and see!
We partnered with Anastasia to put this theory to the test, as she took part in The Money Shop £200 Challenge. Proving to everyone that Geneva doesn’t have to break the bank, she set off armed with £200 to cover herself for the weekend (this didn’t include flights, but did include accommodation). You can find out more about the challenge itself here.
